I’m proud to say that I’m one of the writers on Doctor Who: Redacted, a 10-part audio drama from BBC Sounds that’s starting on Sunday 17 April. The series follows the exploits of Cleo (Charlie Craggs), Shawna (Holly Quin-Ankrah) and Abby (Lois Chimimba) as they run a podcast about weird phenomena — and given that they live in the universe of Doctor Who, there’s a whole lot of weirdness for them to cover. They’ll be running into a number of characters from the TV series, including Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor, although Cleo and company will remain very much the stars of the show.
Juno Dawson is the lead writer on the series, with Catherine Brinkworth, Sasha Sienna, Ken Cheng, Àjoké Ibironke, David K Barnes and myself also contributing episodes and Ella Watts producing. Everyone was a pleasure to work with, and I hope that our passion comes through in the finished series.
